conversation with an autowala
The journey from IITD to home!
A: autowala
(was in a very bad mood sitting in the reading room at IIT. Then decided to go home. took my bag and left for gate. could not find any auto for 5 mins. was ready to pay any amount for taking me home. then I found one auto. and the conversation follows....................)
A: aap IIT mein padhte ho?
Me: haan (spark of intelligence and curiosity from A)
A(after sometime) : kya kar rahe ho wahan se?
Me: MBA (Does he evn understand the word MBA :O)
(what comes next is incresible!)
A: IIT se bhi MBA hota hain?
Me: (grrr I never expected an autowala to ask me this ques) ji!
A: isse pehle apne kya kiya?
Me: (in a laymans language) Engineering
A: kahan se?
Me: Dhirubhai College in gujarat
A: apki naukri nahi lagi thi kya?
Me: (:x) lagi thi par chod di.
A: kahan?
Me: err... Infosys! (does he even know the company)
A: Infosys Bangalore?
Me: (amazing! without further clarifications..) haan
A: Yeh IIT MBA mein admission CAT ke through toh nahi hota?
Me: (wow, he knows a lot) ji nahi
:break:
Me (curious): apko itna kuch kaise pata?
A: general knowledge toh hain.
Me: hmmmm (surprised by his GK)
:break:
A: my son is also doing his engg
Me: where? (cliched ques) (and before he xould ans) delhi se hi?
A: haan......... NSIT
Me: (OMG, never expected this) woh bhi MBA ke liye prepare kar raha hoga tabhi apko pata hain?
A: haan. woh bus top 10 colleges bharega. hua toh theek nahi toh job.
Me: (yeah yeah, everybody thinks this way) (continuing..) uski job kahan lagi?
A: hyderabad!
Me: which company? (was doubtful if he knows d name of the company or not but still asked him)
A: Microsoft!
Me: (*^#^&^#&( ) MICROSOFT! (why is he riding an auto still)
Me: his package must be 9l
A: haan. 9.4
Me: (he knows everything) he need not do an MBA now. he cando it after 2 years
A: haan. waise bhi woh GMAT karna chahta hain after work ex
Me: (He knows about GMAT as well. amazing guy!)
A: main toh 10th fail hoon. aur 10th se hi auto chala raha hoon. 30 saal ho gaye.. ab bus june tak chalaunga, phir uski job start ho jayegi aur tab chod dunga.
Me: (do I even have the words to say anything.. I reached home) apse milke achha laga.
A: All the best beta!
Me: thank you!
