Football Mania

Hooked to TV. I got football fever too. Though its the first time am watching this sport and therefore this post is coming from one of those ignorant spectators of the famous game.
How I feel like running on the field, hitting the ball hard for a goal. This reminds me of the time when I have played this sport at Nehru stadium near my home but with not much enthu at that time. So now I just feel like kicking anything, if not a ball even a shoe will do. Actually this is how I place my shoe in the rack now and my mom cant stop shouting at me and reminds me hundred timed that am a girl.
Coming back to the World Cup football 2006. Started one day after my b’day. So when newspaper read ‘n’ days to go, I could feel a as if the whole world is waiting for my b’day and I just loved it. Anyways, an ardent spectator now to an extent that for the past 4-5 days my dad comes to tv room at 2 am, sees lights on, tv on, and me lying on sofa…. Still and motionless! I am sleeping. 2 is 2 much for me. And then dad comes up with a cup of milk that keeps me alive for the next twenty min.
But the worst part of this game is that there are hardly two to three goals in the span of one and a half hour. A goal is what I wait for, otherwise who likes watching the players making a pass from one to another,,,,,, unless the team is England. ;) anyways, now I love that too. In this respect, the one between Australia and Japan that I watched upto 75th min and later came to know about three goals in the last 6 mins, was heart breakening. I liked that Australia won though its all about the gut feeling and today also I want Australia to give a nice fight to Brazil.
I would like 2 c England as the World Cup winner but I vote for Argentina. lets see!

'The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle.'
